The Destination
Perisher Valley — Australia's Alpine Playground
Perisher is not just a ski resort — it is an institution. As the largest ski area in the Southern Hemisphere, it draws snow lovers from across Australia and beyond, offering over 1,200 hectares of skiable terrain, 47 lifts, and more than 100 marked runs for every ability level.
Nestled within Kosciuszko National Park at an elevation of 1,720 metres, Perisher Valley is surrounded by the kind of pristine alpine landscape that few places in Australia can match. In winter, the mountains are blanketed in snow, the air is crisp, and the village hums with the energy of skiers, snowboarders, and families discovering the magic of the Australian alps.
When the snow melts, a different kind of beauty emerges. Summer brings wildflower meadows, crystal-clear mountain streams, and some of the finest bushwalking trails in the country — including the iconic walk to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko, Australia's highest peak.
